Product Overview This Vivotek camera is a full-featured 3-axis fixed dome network camera designed for indoor surveillance. It comes with a wide-angle, vari-focal lens, allowing a wide open view for maximum coverage. With the sophisticated 3-axis mechanical and industrial design, it offers very flexible and simple hardware installation for either ceiling or wall mounting.
To prevent false alarms, it is also equipped with a PIR (Passive Infrared) sensor, which can detect motion caused by temperature changes in the infrared range emitted by surrounding objects, simply put, this camera has a body heat sensor to increase efficiency and accurate detection. In addition, when the environment lacks a sufficient light source, the built-in white-light illuminators will be activated automatically (or manually) so as to provide additional lighting without the need for additional equipment. Embedded with Vivotek's VVTK-1000 SoC, this model simultaneously
delivers dual streams with different resolutions - up to 30fps VGA- and
video qualities on separate multimedia devices for real-time viewing.

Remote Access from Smart Phones This
cameras can provide live streaming to smartphones or other Internet
connected mobile devices over 3G networks. This is compatible with
leading phones including Apple iPhones™ and iPads™, Symbian™ based devices (e.g. Nokia) and Android™ based phones.
Viewing is also possible on these devices using local WiFi. In
conjunction with email alerts and motion detection, this enables you to
provide rapid response to view live video after you have been alerted.
What is Auto Electronic Shutter? AES
- (Automatic Electronic Shutter) allows the shutter speed to change
with response to the amount of perceived light to keep the signal output
at the best possible level. AES allows an iris to adapt automatically
to different lighting conditions. When the shutter speed increases, the
light passing through the lens is decreased and the cameras sensitivity
is reduced. When the shutter speed is decreased, a larger amount of
light enters the iris. For fast moving objects the shutter speed can
also be increased to provide a freeze effect in order to provide higher
resolution images.
What is Auto Tracking White Balance? White
Balance allows the camera to adjust the tone according to the color
temperature of the light source illuminating the subject. It allows the
operator to see objects as they appear during daylight. Simply put, AWB
is another image amplification feature designed to bring out the best
qualities of the images provided by your camera.
What is Automatic Gain Control? In
low-light conditions, some security cameras use Automatic Gain Control
(AGC) to artificially improve their “dynamic range” and produce usable
images. AGC is basically a form of amplification where the camera will
automatically boost the image received so that objects can be seen more
clearly. In normal light conditions the camera will display a normal
picture. However, when the light quality drops below a certain level the
camera will begin to boost the signal to compensate for the lack of
light.The advantage of this technique is that your camera will produce
images in much lower light conditions than standard.
What is a Privacy Mask??? Privacy
masking is another great yet often misunderstood feature of this
product. This model can be programmed to use a privacy mask to protect
personal privacy by concealing parts of the camera’s image from view
with a masked area. Examples of this use would be masking windows of
domestic properties or in other sensitive situations where recording is
necessary but privacy is required.
Privacy
masking works as follows: You would select an area within the image,
normally by drawing a square or rectangle directly onto the picture
using a computer mouse. Often you can also specify the type of mask,
whether it is formed from a solid color or using a transparent pixelated
effect. This mask will continue to cover sensitive areas of the image
whenever users view the camera!
