Overview
This
GeoVision camera is a high-performance Megapixel IP network
camera featuring a "fisheye" lens suitable for whole-room, 360 degree
viewing. This model is designed for
any indoor surveillance application but is particularly suited for
retail stores, offices, and banks.
Users
can benefit from the advantages of dual-codec
video and the creative surveillance possibilities provided by two-way
audio. With support for simultaneous
dual streaming,
this camera allows users to view H.264,
MJPEG, or MPEG-4 video on multiple platforms such as web browsers or 3G
mobile phones.
Furthermore,
This camera is designed to be mounted on ceiling,
ground or wall, and in comes with the bonus feature of
being able to be mounted in a ceiling so only a small portion of the
camera is visible. In addition, this
model is equipped with Micro SD local
storage, ActiveTamper
Alarm, Privacy Masking and
image enhancing features such as; Auto
White Balance, and Auto Electronic Shutter.
GeoVision
is at the forefront
of the surveillance technology industry,
and with this product working for your home or business you can feel
safe and secure
knowing that you and the people and property you care about are well
protected by the best. And with DuncansOnlines

better deal on the market!
The
Viewing Potential
of
a "Fish-Eye" Lens

What
is a Megapixel,
and
Why is it Important?
A
megapixel equates to 1 million pixels! With that said, this
incredible camera brings you over 1 million pixels
- all working together to bring you the larger, clearer, and crisper
image you want for your surveillance needs!
Below
is an image comparing the quality produced with a megapixel camera
versus the smaller poorer quality corner image of a basic analog
camera. As you can see, the resolution of some lesser cameras leave
much to be desired, while the quality image this model is capable of
conveying is excellent.
Software
The
GeoVision software required to operate all GeoVision cameras can be
downloaded for free by existing GeoVision customers! For first time
customers, a required dongle (a small piece of hardware used for
copyright protection that attaches to your computer) can be provided to
you by DuncansOnline for a very reasonable and competitive price!

What
is Auto Electronic Shutter?
AES
- (Automatic Electronic Shutter) allows the shutter speed to change
with response to the amount of perceived light to keep the signal
output at the best possible level. AES allows an iris to adapt
automatically to different lighting conditions. When the shutter speed
increases, the light passing through the lens is decreased and the
cameras sensitivity is reduced. When the shutter speed is decreased, a
larger amount of light enters the iris. For fast moving objects the
shutter speed can also be increased to provide a freeze effect in order
to provide higher resolution images.
What
is Auto Tracking White Balance?
White
Balance allows the camera to adjust the tone according to the color
temperature of the light source illuminating the subject. It allows the
operator to see objects as they appear during daylight. Simply put, AWB
is another image amplification feature designed to bring out the best
qualities of the images provided by your camera.
Built-in
Micro SD-Card Storage
Local
storage using optional SD-Cards allows you to record
on the unit itself
instead of having to have a recording device elsewhere. This is ideal
for ensuring continued recording in the event of network problems,
or in mobile installations where there is no permanent LAN. A 32GB
SD card can store up to two days worth of continuous video
even at the very highest quality and resolution (and much longer
periods at lower settings). You can retrieve the recorded video on the
SD card by FTP across the network (or Internet) or transfer the SD card
into a reader on your PC.
Remote
Access from Smart Phones
This
cameras can provide live streaming to smartphones or other Internet
connected mobile devices over 3G networks. This is compatible with
leading phones including Apple
iPhones™ and iPads™, Symbian™ based devices (e.g. Nokia) and Android™
based phones.
Viewing is also possible on these devices using local WiFi. In
conjunction with email alerts and motion detection, this enables you to
provide rapid response to view live video after you have been alerted.
Why
is H.264 Important?
H.264
is an ITU standard for compressing video based on MPEG-4 that is
popular, especially for high-definition video such as Blu-ray. Taking
advantage of today's high-speed chips, H.264 delivers MPEG-4 quality
with a frame size up to four times greater! It can also provide MPEG-2
quality at a reduced data rate, requiring as little as one third the
original bandwidth.
Simply
put, H.264 delivers higher quality video in a significantly smaller
about of time and space!

What
is a
Privacy Mask???
Privacy
masking is great yet often misunderstood feature of this product. This
model can be
programmed to use a privacy mask to protect personal privacy by
concealing
parts of the camera’s image from view with a masked area. Examples of
this use
would be masking windows of domestic properties or in other sensitive
situations where recording is necessary but privacy is required.
Privacy
masking works as follows: You would select an area within the image,
normally
by drawing a square or rectangle directly onto the picture using a
computer
mouse. Often you can also specify the type of mask, whether it is
formed from a
solid color or using a transparent pixelated effect. This mask will
continue to
cover sensitive areas of the image whenever users view the camera!
