This
Brickom camera is an outdoor
bullet network camera.
It adopts a megapixel
sensor
which allows the camera to deliver extremely
clear and detailed images
that CCTV cameras cannot offer. To optimize use of the megapixel
resolution, this model uses efficient H.264/
MJPEG/ MPEG-4 codec
compression to deliver dual configurable video streams simultaneously
at up to 30 fps. These features make this the perfect outdoo camera for
virtually any large
scale outdoor security application.
This
model has many user
friendly features,
such as the smart
focus capability which allows users to configure settings for excellent
image quality without difficult procedures.
Support for Power
over Ethernet enables the camera to use the same cable for power and
data transmission, eliminating the need to install an external power
supply.
Due to its wireless
capability, installation for this model is
not restricted by location or landforms.
This camera offers various wireless options that make connecting to
networks easier by adopting the technology of IEEE
802.11 a/b/g/n and 3G SIM module which open it up to cellular networks
and thus making this camera accessible from your mobile phone.
This wireless bullet camera can be set within any wireless or 3G signal
coverage area, and users do not have to worry about a possible data
connection failure because it is equipped with a Micro
SD/SDHC memory card slot for local storage.
With an IP67
certified outdoor enclosure,
this camera is not only weatherproof,
but also dust
and rust resistant; and
by utilizing a built-in
industrial fan and heater,
it can perform well in any kind of extreme environment.
Furthermore, with built in infrared illuminators, and a true day/night
function - this camera performs exceptionally all day long and even on
the darkest nights. With a 3.3-12mm
Vari-focal auto iris lens,
and many
image enhancing features (e.g, Auto White Balance, Auto Gain and
Exposure Control),
this camera can consistently
provide excellent quality imaging within a large range of angles and
distances.
With
this top of the line model working for your home or business, feel
secure
knowing that you, and the property and people you care about most will
have
the
best surveillance protection money can buy-
and with DuncansOnline’s
competitive pricing and exceptional customer service
you’ll have difficulty finding a better deal on the market!
Motorized
Vari-Focal and Auto-Focus
This
camera is fitted with a 3.3-12mm motorized zoom lens with auto-focus.
Using this, once the camera is installed, the field of view can be
adjusted from the comfort of the viewing station (any PC) - just
point the camera in the right direction and then adjust from the
comfort of your desk. The camera also features a DC-controlled
automatic iris to adjust for varying light though out the day.
High
Resolution & Triple-Codecs
Full
1280 x 800 Widescreen megapixel resolution is backed up by triple-codec
support to provide the most efficient use of bandwidth and storage. The
maximum frame rate (30fps) is available at full resolution, ensuring
that you can enjoy both high specification features together. This
camera allows simultaneous viewing in two different resolutions, for
example full resolution for local viewers/storage and a lower
resolution for remote users or 3G access where bandwidth is lower.
Built-in
SD-card slot
A
built-in micro SD memory card slot allows local recording, within the
camera itself so that video can be captured even if the network is
interrupted. Alternatively, recording to an SD card enables video to be
viewed after an 'event' even without any networking provision, so
creating a fully self-contained camera and recording solution.
Brickcom's 'edge backup' feature enables the camera to automatically
update your PC in the event of a temporary loss of network connectivity
so that there is no loss of recorded video. A single SD card can record
several day's worth of video, depending on the size of the card, the
level of activity and video settings.
Input/Output
Line/Mic
in and line-out interfaces allow the addition of a microphone or
speaker to enable two-way conversations with the camera location from
anywhere in the world (from any web browser) as well as being able to
monitor sounds in the area. Sound can also be used to trigger events
(recording, emails) for example the noise of an alarm sounding, glass
breaking or some other unexpected sound. A DI ("Digital
In")
interface lets you connect up an external sensor (PIR, magnetic,
invisible beam) or trigger from an alarm and the camera's DO ("Digital
Out")
interface can turn on or trigger some other external device (a door
release, a light etc.) either remotely triggered manually or based on
some automatic trigger.
Sound
& Motion Detection
This
Brickcom camera supports motion or sound activated triggers. The
viewing area, or specific areas within the image can be monitored for
movement and if detected, various actions can be taken. These actions
can also be triggered by sound using the built-in microphone. When
triggered, the camera can do any of the following:
- Email
the video/snaphot to multiple users
- Email
it to your mobile phone
- Upload
to it to an FTP server
- Store
it on an SD memory card installed in the camera
- Save
it to a Samba server
- Send
a UDP, HTTP or Multicast Notification
In
the case of a video clip being sent or stored, the video file can
include up to 10 seconds before and up to 30 seconds after the event so
that you don't miss any action. For audio operation, a mic and speaker
interface is provided so that you can connect an appropriate microphone
or PA system.
Wireless
3G and WiFi Options
This
camera provides wireless connectivity via Wifi and 3G cellular networks
respectively. Dual-band WiFi enables you to send your data without
running cables back to your local base station. Ideal where cables are
impractical or for temporary usage. 3G Data opens up many more
possibilities, allowing remote access to your camera to view images or
download recordings over the 3G cellular networks. You insert a SIM
card from your network and then access the camera without requiring any
broadband or other WAN infrastructure. Also ideal for temporary
applications or where no broadband is available.
What
is a Megapixel,
and
Why is it Important?
A
megapixel equates to 1 million pixels! With that said, this incredible
camera brings you over a million pixels - all working together to bring
you the larger, clearer, and crisper image you want for your
surveillance needs!
Below
is an image comparing the quality produced with a megapixel camera
versus the smaller poorer quality corner image of a basic analog
camera. As you can see, the resolution of some lesser cameras
leaves much to be desired, while the quality image this model is
capable of conveying is excellent.
Why
is H.264 Important?
H.264
is an ITU standard for compressing video based on MPEG-4 that is
popular, especially for high-definition video such as Blu-ray. Taking
advantage of today's high-speed chips, H.264 delivers MPEG-4 quality
with a frame size up to four times greater! It can also provide MPEG-2
quality at a reduced data rate, requiring as little as one third the
original bandwidth.
Simply
put, H.264 delivers higher quality video in a significantly smaller
about of time and space!
